Train Downtown

After confirming our appointment this afternoon with the Notary to sign papers so Sandra can handle the shipping for us, we were finally able to take time for some touristy things. We decide to go into downtown Buenos Aires.

They have a fairly good train system and the trip from Munro to downtown took about 30 minutes at a cost of 1.50 pesos each, return.

Today the motorcycle police were stopping all motos and checking for proper papers. We watched for a while, then grabbed a sandwich “to go” ...

(shucks we still haven’t tried the barbequed lamb)

and sat in the park eating with the pigeons.

On the return train ride ...

we were able to snap a few photos of the shantytown alongside the tracks ...

another striking contrast between the “haves” and “have-nots”.
