Along The Pacific

Our day from La Serena to Valparaiso went smoothly with nice weather and many views of the Pacific Ocean. We were told not to bother with Santiago as it was “just another” large, noisy, smelly, chaotic city.
6,820 pesos per litre for Premium... about $1.20, a bit more than when we left Calgary

Cafe break and el bano at Tiger Mart, just like home!

Great fruit growing area

The boys watching the game over a beer... just like home!

Corinne stopping to pet the baby dog.... just like home!

Shopping spree on the Plaza... just like home!

We took the advice and stayed instead in Valparaiso which was a nice ocean front city with lots of nice apartment buildings on streets lined with palm trees.

The night was spent in the Hotel O’Higgins right on O’Higgins Plaza on which there were lots of day vendors selling their wares.

Observation by Corinne – Chile has lots of eucalyptus trees, but no Koala bears!
