Shrines

Leaving Chanaral, we spent another day on the road heading southward towards our goal.

Along the route we made special note of the shrines that have been built along the highway to celebrate those who died. I couldn’t help but notice that they ranged from quite elaborate to simple.

We also passed the shrine that was still under construction for me when I pass on!

It should be noted that some of the roads in Argentina are very narrow. One must be very attentive to driving here as there is no room for error.

Stopping in Copiano for lunch we got lost finding our way out of town due to a traffic jam from parents picking up their kids from school, then headed the wrong way. Did a gilly-galloo and got back on track heading in the right direction again.

Again, this town preferred to sell motorcycles out of the local “Best Buy” store. I guess this is a good example of “one stop shopping.”

That night was spent in Vallanar at the Hotel Takia. I (Duane) especially liked the pretty young ladies working at the desk.

Corinne especially liked the newborn kitten in the parking garage. I guess we all have our priorities!
