Back on the Road

Heading out early on a beautiful summer morning (of course it was windy) we intending on stopping at Viedma. That was the location of a Dec. 9th. Horizons Unlimited Rally that we had considered attending on our journey. The landscape was starting to improve as we headed north and looked like southeastern Alberta.

Viedma turned out to be too early to stop so we pushed on to Bahai Blanca. The map showed this town to be on the ocean and we had been spoiled by Puerto Madryn. We thought we would spend another day on the ocean.

Bahai Blanca was indeed on the ocean but turned out to be an industrial city and not an Oceanside resort.

There were no new hotels in town as this was not a tourist destination, so after riding around for a while we found a place that seemed to be OK. It was, except that is was quite old. I still cannot figure out why old hotels have ceilings that are higher than the room is wide. The room was comfortable and we got a good night sleep and did a little walking around in town before leaving. The town was modern enough to have a McDonalds and some motorcycle shops but is not a place I would recommend as more than a sleepover stop.
