We had planned to ride the 700 kms to Bariloche today, but got a late start.
The country side was quite scenic and we saw lots of “herds” of various sorts. Sheep, goats, dogs, horses, Caballeros,
and even people. It was always ‘heads up” for one never knew what was around the next bend.
The heat became overwhelming by 12:00 so we stopped for lunch in the town of Zapala and after filling our stomachs we got that groggy, satiated feeling. That was it! We decided to stop for the night and do laundry. One thing about these deserts, the laundry sure dries fast! Just hang everything out the hotel window in the desert sun and wind and poof…. Faster than natural gas.
"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to slide in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming: WOW...WHAT A RIDE!!!"
We are a couple of everyday people who happened to fall into enjoying the sport of motorcycling. We especially like to ride our motorcycles to discover new places. We have been exploring North America on touring motorcycles since 1981 and before that the foothills of Southern Alberta by dirt bikes since 1975.
